What should I expect in my first session?
The first session provides an opportunity for us to get acquainted. I offer an optional free 15 minute phone consultation prior to our first scheduled session. Once we meet in person, together we will discuss your hopes and goals in therapy, review a brief history, and discuss paperwork and scheduling.
How long is a session?
A standard session is 50 minutes long. However, some may feel that 75 or 90 minutes may be more appropriate for their needs when scheduling a couple or family session.
What is the cost for a session?
Session rates vary depending on length. The standard rate for a 50 minute session is $215. For a free 15 minute consultation, call me at (626) 344-2263.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, I offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments. If you would like to discuss the sliding scale further, please call me at (626) 344-2263.
Do you accept insurance?
I can provide you with a "superbill," which you are able to submit to your insurance company and potentially be reimbursed directly for a portion of your session fee. Insurance coverage and reimbursement are specific to your unique policy and varies by carrier. I am happy to discuss this process with you. I am a Lyra Mental Health Provider, so please check with your employer to verify if you have EAP sessions through Lyra benefits.
What types of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check, Venmo, or credit card.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please notify Erika at least 24 hours prior to your session to avoid payment for the missed session.
